Foundation

After World War II the German economy started developing anew. As travellers were not available in West Germany, OTRA was founded.

Development

As travellers were urgently needed in spinning mills, OTRA started producing for German companies. Due to continuous improvement of quality and shapes, first exports went to Italy and were then sold in the Western World. Around 1960`s the austenitic hardening system was ready for practical use and since then we have been envolved in working with this system for our customers. In the 1970`s our experience in forming wire-parts was transferred into the production of punched and bent parts as well as the respective tooling system. This step lead us to customers in different brands and enabled us to accept partnerships for new designs.
